Senior Billing Specialist

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Biller has been created at this US Law Firm based close to city mainland stations. The firm wish to hire a Senior Billing Specialist join the London office on a permanent basis to support both the London and international Corporate practice groups.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, working alongside the Revenue team, the Senior Billing Specialist will be responsible for;

• Producing draft invoices, finalising invoices / e-bills and credit notes, ensuring bills are prepared in accordance with client arrangements and terms
• Conducting monthly meetings with Partners in London
• Producing proformas and distributing to lawyers and Partners in accordance with Firm policy. Ensuring each proforma reflects the client arrangement terms, rates, discounts, etc
• Ensuring that matters are set up correctly on Elite 3E
• Carrying out time and cost transfers when requested
• Resolving any issues that occur during the billing process to avoid significant delays
• Working with the London Partners and Revenue Manager to achieve specific targets
• Ensuring the compliance of all bills issued with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and VAT Regulations
• Liaising with Accounts team regarding any client-to-office transfers required to settle outstanding bills

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a billing and revenue focused role, preferably in a US law firm using Elite 3E and e-billing platforms. You will have strong written, communication and organisation skills and excellent technical skills with knowledge of the HMRC and SRA rules.
