Job Description - Senior Bookkeeper

The role is best suited to someone with proven experience in a similar role, and can oversee and delegate the Bookkeeping operations in a busy practice. There is no direct line management involved, but you must be organised and a strong communicator. Salary up to £37,000 per annum, and office based with the occasional day working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounts
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping duties including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare financial reports for management
Liaise with external accountants and support audit preparation
Oversee the bookkeeping operations and mentor where required

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar senior bookkeeping role
Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
AAT qualification (or equivalent)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment
