East London, Essex and remote working

Our client is a dynamic, go ahead, growing firm of Accountants with a range of clients from Sole traders to Public Companies

The firm is always striving to move and develop and offer a first class service to their clients

With the growth of Cloud Accounting, an opportunity has arisen for a well spoken bookkeeper with 3 -4 years experience in another firm to move their career to another level

This will not only utilise your accounting experience, but also allow you to have lots of direct client contact as you advise and hand hold clients on the transition to Cloud Accounting and new software systems

Requirements

Assist with the transition of client accounts to the Cloud
Process VAT returns on time and resolve problems
Resolve any problems the client may have had with previous bookkeeping issues
Monthly and Year End Journals
Assist with payroll, depreciation, accruals and pre payments
Work with the senior in house accountants to give them relevant data for Statutory Accounts preparation
Hands on bookkeeping work for multiple clients

This is a rare chance to work on an interesting and challenging transitional process to cloud accounting

Candidate requirements

3 - 4 years experience of bookkeeping/ accounts within an accountancy firm
A good understanding of Cloud accounting concepts and relevant Software
Great people skills to work with clients on the changes
Good knowledge of Xero and Sage
VAT experience
