Senior Bridge Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 consultancy in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to work across a range of major infrastructure frameworks, delivering high-quality bridge and structures projects.

Up to £48ph - £64ph (Inside IR35) / £360 - £480 per day
6 month initial contract, likely extension beyond into healthy pipeline
Start date ASAP

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the design and assessment of highway and rail bridge structures
Produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and reports
Work across multiple frameworks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to standard
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements

Proven experience as a Bridge Engineer within a consultancy environment
Strong knowledge of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Eurocodes)
Experience working on highways and/or rail structures
Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
Chartered or near Chartered status (ICE or IStructE preferred)
