Three days per week onsite. Some spaces stay with people long after they’ve left. A stadium at full roar, a live production unfolding from the gallery, a studio where every technical element works as one. This practice designs the systems behind those moments. They’re an independent audiovisual, acoustic and creative design consultancy working globally across sports, entertainment, cultural destinations, live events and immersive environments. Their work includes studios, production galleries, control rooms and broadcast AV systems within some of the world’s most high-profile sports and entertainment venues. Acoustics, engineering, architecture and creative design sit under one roof, brought together to shape how content is produced, managed and experienced. Independence matters here. Decisions are made in the building by the people doing the work, and the practice answers to its clients rather than a group board. The portfolio runs from major venues and broadcast facilities to visitor attractions, interactive installations and experiential environments. Technically demanding, creatively led and built for real-world operation. The practice is hiring a Senior Broadcast Systems Designer to uphold that standard. The role As Senior Broadcast Systems Designer, you’ll hold design responsibility for complex broadcast systems from concept through to handover. You’ll define the technical architecture for studios, control rooms, production galleries and wider broadcast AV environments across projects that change significantly from one commission to the next. That means shaping systems at concept stage, producing CAD plans and technical schematics, developing equipment layouts, walking sites and testing designs against operational requirements. You’ll stay close to the work as it moves from an initial brief to a commissioned facility. You’ll work alongside acousticians, engineers and creative designers who are strong in their own disciplines and expect the same of yours. What’s in it for you Genuine design authority. What you’ll do As Senior Broadcast Systems Designer, you will: Design broadcast systems for studios, control rooms, production galleries and integrated broadcast AV environments. Own the technical design from early concept through detailed design, commissioning and handover. Produce CAD plans, system schematics, equipment layouts and technical documentation. Conduct site surveys and translate operational requirements into practical, buildable systems. Define signal flows, system architecture and equipment requirements. Review and refine designs against client needs, production workflows, functionality and technical feasibility. Maintain accurate bills of materials and design documentation. Contribute technical thinking to proposals, client discussions and the practice’s own design standards. What you’ll bring The successful Senior Broadcast Systems Designer will bring: Five or more years’ experience designing broadcast systems, supported by work you’re proud to show. Experience designing studios, production galleries, control rooms or comparable broadcast facilities. Strong CAD skills and confidence producing broadcast plans, schematics and technical drawings. A thorough understanding of broadcast system architecture, signal flows and AV integration. The ability to translate operational requirements into clear, deliverable technical designs. The organisational discipline to manage several technically demanding projects at once. You’ll thrive here if You want your technical judgement trusted. You’d rather explain the reasoning behind a broadcast system you designed than manage one you inherited. And you care about how a facility performs when the production goes live, not just how it looks on a drawing.
