Maintain properties to ensure they remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose. Act as an internal consultant, managing repairs, maintenance and refurbishment projects. Fulfil Planning Supervisor/Designer duties under CDM regulations. Carry out condition surveys, create maintenance plans and agree priorities with senior stakeholders. Apply asbestos awareness knowledge, including risk identification and emergency procedures. Manage revenue and capital budgets, specify works, raise orders and ensure full year-end spend. Oversee project work and coordinate support staff. Essential requirements of the Senior Building Surveyor: A qualification suitable for Corporate Membership of the CIOB or equivalent. Senior-level project management experience in building repair, refurbishment, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of building contracts, financial control, and CDM regulations. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A full UK driving licence and a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Experience with NEC4, SFG20, FastDraft, Concerto, and CAD software is desirable, as is familiarity with public sector and local authority procedures.
