Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Location: Central | Department: Data & Insights | Type: Full-time | Hybrid Working Available

Our financial services client is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to help drive data-informed decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role with high visibility, where you'll collaborate directly with teams across the organisation - from HR to Technology - to shape, deliver, and evolve our reporting and analytics capabilities.

You'll play a key role from initial requirement scoping through to dashboard delivery, tailoring your approach to the audience while promoting BI best practices across the team.

• Lead scoping sessions to gather and define reporting and data needs with stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into effective, scalable BI solutions
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, SQL, and DAX
• Adapt communication and delivery to suit varying levels of technical understanding
• Support and enhance existing BI solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs
• Collaborate with other BI team members to improve shared processes and standards
• Manage relationships and ad hoc requests from business users
• 20-30% stakeholder engagement, with the remainder focused on hands-on analysis and reporting

• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
• Advanced skills in Power BI, SQL, and DAX
• Strong team collaborator - you've worked within BI teams (not as a sole contributor) and helped drive shared performance and practices
• Comfortable navigating different business areas, especially where technical understanding varies
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
• A degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent, showing strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Demonstrated success in driving adoption of BI tools and self-service reporting across diverse business teams
