Senior Buyer

A fantastic opportunity became available for an enthusiastic Senior Buyer to join our clients Procurement team to grow with the business and become part of a team supporting global institutions.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be an integral part of this busy and vibrant department. Joining a company that is undergoing a period of natural growth and change, with the benefit of a solid history of success, gives fantastic opportunities for progression.

As the Senior Buyer, you will be:

• Be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the company
• Managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of products
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Contributing to the development of the procurement strategy
• Mentoring other team members
• Collaborate with various departments to support company objectives
• Managing the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery
• Monitoring inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts
• Analysing trends

As the Senior Buyer, you will have:

• Understanding of Sustainable Procurement and Supply Chain processes
• A positive outlook and sustainably conscious
• Experience within a purchasing role
• CIPS or a degree in a relatable field
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP/MRP systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
