Strategic Buyer – Derby

Chase & Holland have today been engaged by a truly exciting business in Derby, and are excited to be partnering the business to recruit a Strategic Buyer into team.
This is a newly created key role will see you manage and develop strategic supplier relations to help push the business forward.
The business which has recently moved to brand new premises is going through a strong period of growth and it’s a very exciting time to join!

As the Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for:

• Working with existing and new suppliers to obtain quotations
• Initiating and managing tendering
• Negotiating commercial conditions and implement agreements with suppliers
• Developing sourcing strategies and analysing spends
• Communicating with internal teams reporting delays and errors and report supply chain disruptions
• Working pro-actively to find and identify solutions
• Working closely with new product teams to source and negotiate best price and quality
• Monitoring supplier performance
• Working and leading projects
• Collecting data as required and/or performing data analysis

Your working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm

Skills & Experience you require:

• Experience within a similar role
• Intermediate level of Excel knowledge
• Previous knowledge of ERP systems
• Ability to work with large amounts of complex data
• Strong negotiations skills
• Experience in organising and managing competitive tenders
