A leading UK manufacturer is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Buyer to join their procurement team. This is a supplier-facing role focused on driving value, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Your new role
Your key responsibilities will include:

• Source and evaluate suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor market trends
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement with business needs
• Analyse procurement data to inform strategic decisions

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a procurement or buying role, ideally in manufacturing
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Excel and procurement systems
• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• CIPS or similar certification is advantageous
