Senior Buyer - Hybrid

You are a Senior Buyer with a strong commercial focus, excellent financial skills, and a keen interest in licensed and trend-driven products. In this key position, you’ll take full ownership of a major product category, shaping category strategy, delivering high-performing product ranges, and building the presence of licensed brands across our successful e-commerce platform.

The role:

• Develop and deliver commercially successful, brand-aligned seasonal product ranges.
• Fully manage category budgets, open-to-buy, sales forecasts, and profitability targets.
• Oversee the development and sourcing of licensed products from concept to market launch.
• Lead supply and licensor negotiations to achieve the best terms and exclusivity.
• Actively manage trading performance through dynamic sales, stock, and markdown actions.
• Present strategies and performance updates in key business forums.
• Conduct in-depth post-season reviews to maximise ROI and inform future buying decisions.
• Manage, support, and develop Buyers and Assistant Buyers within your team.
• Attend trade shows, licensor events, and supplier meetings in the UK and internationally.

Close collaboration with Buying, Merchandising, Trading, Marketing, Logistics, QA, and Retail teams.

• Build strong partnerships with licensors, global suppliers, agents, and industry peers.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a Buyer or Senior Buyer in retail or e-commerce; background in Apparel, Home, Gifting, or Licensing .
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking, with proven budget responsibility.
• Excellent sense for product, brand positioning, and understanding customer needs.
• Skilled in negotiations and experienced in global sourcing.
• A confident leader with a track record in team development.
• Analytically minded, decisive, and confident when presenting to senior stakeholders.
