Senior C Engineer

We are looking for a Senior C++ Engineer to join a newly forming, elite engineering squad tasked with modernizing the core cross-platform networking stack for one of the world's largest streaming tech ecosystems.

Role: Senior C++ Engineer (Mobile Infrastructure)

Term: Contract until year-end (with strong potential for extension)

Location: 100% Remote

Tech Stack: C++, iOS, Android, HTTP/2+, WebSockets, Custom Shared Libraries

🛠️ What You'll Actually Do

This isn't your standard mobile feature-building role. You will sit squarely at the boundary of client platforms and backend infrastructure to:

Modernize the Stack: Refactor and modularize a highly mature, business-critical C++ core shared library across iOS and Android layers.

Evolve Protocols: Shape client-server contracts, handle network state detection, and optimize real-time messaging systems.

Enhance Observability: Build deep telemetry and metrics to diagnose latency and performance anomalies across the full client-to-backend path.

Kill Legacy Code: Gracefully sunset legacy networking components without interrupting the user experience for hundreds of millions of clients.

🎯 Who You Are

An Expert in C++: You have 5+ years of infrastructure or mobile engineering experience, with a heavy focus on production-grade C++.

A Mobile Native: You can effortlessly navigate large, multi-platform codebases (Android/iOS) and know how to ship robust SDKs.

A Networking Nerd: Deep knowledge of HTTP/2+, WebSockets, retries/backoff, and handling offline resilience is second nature to you.

A Technical Leader: You love setting engineering norms, conducting design reviews, and guiding a newly forming team toward architectural excellence.
