Senior Care Assistant - Residential Care Home ?
Location: Palmers Green
Salary: £13 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time -

Are you a dedicated and experienced care professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are currently seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our warm and welcoming team at our 20-bedded residential care home, where we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a homely environment.

Your Role:

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the management team and leading by example to deliver excellent standards of care. You'll supervise and mentor junior staff, administer medication, complete care plans, and ensure residents receive the highest level of support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver person-centred care in line with individual care plans

  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Lead, support, and supervise care staff during shifts

  • Monitor and report on residents' wellbeing and changes in health

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation

  • Support new staff through training and mentoring

About You:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)

  • Previous experience in a care setting, ideally in a senior role

  • Medication administration training (desirable)

  • A warm, caring, and patient nature

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Flexible and reliable with a proactive attitude
