Avon Search is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader on behalf of a well-established, high-quality nursing home located close to the historic town centre of East Grinstead.

This welcoming service provides exceptional nursing, respite, and end-of-life care within a warm, homely environment where residents receive compassionate, person-centred support. The home accommodates 32 residents across two thoughtfully designed households, creating a friendly atmosphere where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence while receiving the care they need.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of exceptional care while providing day-to-day leadership to the care team.

Working closely with residents, families, nurses and colleagues, you will help ensure the highest standards of care are maintained while creating a safe, welcoming and positive environment for everyone within the home.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and supporting the care team throughout day shifts
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Assisting residents with personal care and daily living activities
Supporting medication administration where appropriate
Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation
Promoting residents' independence, dignity and wellbeing
Ensuring a safe, caring and welcoming environment
Acting as a positive role model and mentor for the wider care team
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader or similar role within a nursing, residential or elderly care setting
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
Experience supporting older people with complex nursing needs
Medication administration experience (desirable)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A caring, compassionate and proactive approach
A genuine passion for delivering outstanding care and supporting others

Full Time Permanent – Days Only
+10% enhancement for weekend shifts
+10% enhancement for night shifts (where applicable)
+20% enhancement for Bank Holiday working
