Senior Casualty Risk Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Casualty Risk Engineer to assess and manage casualty risks for underwriting functions and helping underwriters win and retain profitable accounts. The role provides liability risk assessments, technical advice, and training to underwriters by overseeing employer's liability surveys and validate client responses. You will assist in new business acquisition through technical input, site visits, and risk management proposals. The role also helps develop innovative risk solutions and provides technical support to stakeholders. The team currently has 3 members and focuses on desktop referrals, research organisations, and product assessments. There is a constant need to apply and adhere to guidelines, with a focus on supporting underwriters. The role involves client-facing consultancy, safety, and risk management services. It also includes managing and tracking responses from outsourced employer's liability surveys and supporting the London underwriting team with technical referrals. The product range is extremely broad, and perils include anything from lithium batteries and fish farms to forest fires and new construction building practices. This is a London based role with flexible working arrangements, including site visits and occasional overnight stays within the UK.
