Senior Civil and Structural Technician

My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil and Structural Technician to join their experienced team of drainage and highways engineers, based near the lively city of Swansea, located on the beautiful Gower Peninsula.

Essential Criteria:

• Extensive industry experience within a consultancy-based role
• Experience of having line managed a team of CAD Technicians
• Good working knowledge of drafting standards, within the industry
• Demonstrable experience of having worked with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
• Experience of drafting underground drainage, SuDS, and highways applications, with reference to the relevant Section Agreements (i.e., S104, S38, S278, etc.)
• Excellent proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit
• Outstanding IT skills, including in the Microsoft Office package
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Civil and Structural Technician to possess the following skills:

- Knowledge of NavisWorks/WalkInside

- Experience with the Microsoft Sharepoint system

- Familiarity with the local region

- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team

- Excellent time management

Working to lead the team in detailing and modelling an array of building structures projects

• Working to provide reinforcement detailing and scheduling
• Attending meetings with the Design Team
