Senior Civil Engineer

My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their accomplished team of expert designers and engineers, based near the diverse, industrial city of Coventry.

Essential Criteria:

- Extensive experience in the Civil Engineering sector, particularly in a consulting role

- An appropriate academic qualification in Civil Engineering

- Demonstrable experience of team and/or project management within the industry

- Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements, such as S104, S38, S278, etc., and their applications

- Experience of liaising with and managing stakeholders across the public and private sectors, demonstrating commercial knowledge and awareness

- Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and others

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following:

- Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body (or proactively working toward attaining Chartered Status)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Good time management skills, with a willingness to remain flexible and adaptable

- A keen desire to engage with a range of projects, taking an involved, hands-on approach

In your varied role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join an expert team of engineers and designers within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve a number of responsibilities, including:

- Overseeing a range of design projects at all stages of the process, from initial inception and planning, through to delivery

- Preparation of fee proposals and tenders, drawing upon commercial and technical experience

- Producing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies, as well as overseeing their production by other colleagues

- Leading your team in producing conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques), and adoptable roads and highways

- Reviewing a number of calculations, drawings, and reports

- Presenting clients with practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice
