Senior Civil Engineer

My client, a highly-accomplished, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their specialist team of designers and engineers, based near the vibrant, historical city of Nottingham.

Essential Criteria:

- Extensive experience in the Civil Engineering sector, in a consultancy-based role

- A Degree in Civil Engineering

- Demonstrable experience of project and/or team management within the industry

- Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements, such as S104, S38, S278, etc.

- Experience of managing stakeholders across the public and private sectors, with commercial knowledge and awareness

- Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, InfoDrainage, etc.

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following:

- Chartered Engineer (or proactively working toward attaining Chartered Status)

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Good time management skills, with the ability to remain flexible and adaptable across a wide range of projects

- A willingness to engage with a range of projects, with a view to developing your career

In your varied role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join an expert team of engineers and designers within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve a range of responsibilities, including:

- Overseeing a number of projects at all stages, from inception through to successful delivery

- Preparation of fee proposals and tenders, drawing upon commercial and technical experience

- Producing Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Scoping Reports, and Drainage Strategies, as well as overseeing their completion and submission by other colleagues

- Leading your team in the production of conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques), as well as adoptable roads and highways

- Reviewing a number of reports, calculations, and drawings

- Presenting appropriate solutions to clients, providing practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice
