Our client, a well-established engineering organisation, is seeking a Senior Civil Structural Engineer to join their team. This role involves delivering complex infrastructure projects across the rail and energy sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of civil and structural engineering projects from concept through to construction. Undertake the design of rail ancillary structures and associated civil engineering assets. Prepare and review calculations, technical reports, specifications, and engineering drawings. Carry out structural analysis and design in accordance with relevant industry standards and client requirements. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient project delivery. Attend design reviews and contribute to value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle. Support project planning, programme management, and resource allocation activities.
Job Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Degree qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering. Proven experience delivering civil and/or structural engineering designs. Experience within rail infrastructure, civil engineering, or structural building design environments. Strong understanding of structural analysis, design principles, and relevant UK design standards. Experience using industry-standard structural design software. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage technical delivery on multiple projects.
We Are Particularly Interested In:
Engineers with experience in rail infrastructure and ancillary civils design. Structural Engineers from commercial building sectors, including offices, hotels, residential, industrial, and mixed-use developments. Chartered Engineers (CEng) or individuals actively working towards chartership. Engineers with experience mentoring junior team members and leading design packages.
