I am currently partnered with a leading Lloyd's Insurer who are seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join their growing Casualty Claims team.
This role will be responsible for adjusting Casualty related Claims (GL, EL and PL) from international jurisdictions including Australia, Canada, US and more from notice to settlement.
My client is looking for someone with strong Casualty Claims adjusting experience from a Lloyd's environment and someone who is comfortable with ECF and Lloyd's Claims Schemes.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering prompt, accurate, and consistent adjustment, reserving, and settlement of International Casualty claims across Lloyd's and London Market platforms. You will play a key role in embedding Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk principles into day-to-day decision-making, ensuring fair outcomes and high standards of service. Additionally, you will maintain strong awareness of Data Protection requirements, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR, ensuring all information is handled in line with regulatory and internal compliance expectations.
Promptly agreeing valid claims for payment
Creating, reviewing, and implementing strategies to expedite the settlement of valid claims
Identifying, investigating, and raising coverage issues where applicable
Adjusting reserves in line with coverage, liability, and quantum factors in accordance with internal claims guidelines
Ensuring reserves and claims data are accurately maintained on the claims system at all times
Liaising with internal departments, such as Delegated Authority and Claims Hub, to ensure valid claims progress efficiently toward settlement
Managing relationships with external experts, including legal professionals within relevant jurisdictions
Reviewing and addressing static claims and reserves
Effectively utilising diary systems to track key actions, recoveries, and other claims matters
Establishing strong working relationships with external delegated claims handlers
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market issues and legal developments relevant to the International Casualty class
Escalating and reporting to management on claims exceeding financial authority or with potential material business impact
Participating in ad hoc projects that support the organisation's strategic objectives
Complying with all internal controls and procedures
Demonstrating awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and Conduct Risk strategies
Maintaining awareness of Data Protection legislation, including the Data Protection Act and GDPR
