We are currently recruiting for a Senior Claims Analyst, on behalf of our client, a very highly regarded and well respected Lloyd's Syndicate.

Reporting to the Head of General Liability Claims, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing General Liability Claims and handling complex cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing leadership for General Liability technical claims, with oversight for accurate and timely case reserves and payments.
• Partnering with Underwriters to sell the claims value proposition, building confidence and trust with Clients and Brokers.
• Accountability for making decisions on large and complex losses in their line of business.
• Overseeing areas where delegation of reserving, payment, and settlement authority, has been given to junior internal staff.
• Delivering technical training that keeps staff current with industry practices.
• Reporting trends in General Liability claims, and working closely with the Product Leaders to learn lessons from losses, as well as working with actuaries for reserving decisions to encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

• Experience of handling US General Liability Bodily Injury Claims, as well as other aspects of US General Liability claims, is essential.
• Extensive technical claims experience, with a good working knowledge of significant and complex claims, ideally gained from working for a lead insurer.
• Experience with both the US and London Market, and experience with experience with ECF / DXC and market procedures, is preferred.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and inspire a team to grow and succeed.
• A passion for data analytics and using trends to drive better outcomes for the company and clients.
