Senior Client Bookkeeper

Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong grasp of Xero and a passion for working with a varied and interesting client base?

ARMSTRONG KNIGHT are working with a highly reputable accountancy practice in the Chingford/Wanstead area who are looking to appoint a confident, capable Bookkeeper to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, client contact, and working within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

• Day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero

• Bank, credit card, and control account reconciliations

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns (MTD compliant)

• Processing sales and purchase ledgers, expenses, and payroll journals

• Supporting the wider team with management account preparation

• Regular client communication to resolve queries and build rapport

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice or multi-client role

• Strong working knowledge of Xero (QuickBooks/Sage a bonus)

• Confident preparing VAT returns and working to deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Enjoys building relationships with clients and working as part of a team
