Location: Liverpool (Hybrid)

My client, a top-tier national law firm with a strong presence in healthcare litigation, is seeking a highly experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join their established Healthcare team in Liverpool.
This team is known for its expertise across all areas of healthcare law, including clinical negligence, mental health, human rights, and consent to treatment. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, supportive environment with a genuine focus on technical excellence, professional development, and client care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of high-value and complex defendant clinical negligence claims (claimant experience also considered)
• Act on behalf of NHS Trusts and other healthcare providers
• Conduct in-depth investigations and negotiate outcomes
• Liaise with claimants, solicitors, counsel, experts, and clients
• Draft pleadings, reports and correspondence in line with service level agreements
• Support junior team members and contribute to internal and external training and networking activities
• Achieve billing and chargeable targets while maintaining exceptional client service standards
• Stay up to date with legal developments and contribute to business development initiatives

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience
• Strong experience managing clinical negligence matters on behalf of defendants (or complex claimant-side experience with a willingness to transition)
• Excellent knowledge of the CPR and solid technical legal skills
• Strong advocacy and case management experience
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines, meet financial targets and deliver results
• Team-oriented, self-motivated and capable of working autonomously when required
• Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members is advantageous
