Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

HW Finance are partnering with a leading Yorkshire retailer who are recruiting a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst supporting their trading and Business Development teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a well established business. This is a fantastic role for someone who thrives in a fast paced, evolving environment and enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

This hybrid role offers flexibility, with just two days a week expected in the office, based in South Yorkshire. You’ll be joining a collaborative finance function that plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making and performance improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead weekly trading and revenue reporting, providing performance insights and variance analysis
• Present findings in weekly trading meetings, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
• Support monthly accounts reviews in partnership with Business Development and Management Accounts teams
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process across partner accounts and new business pipelines
• Build and maintain financial models to support commercial negotiations and investment decisions
• Evaluate the financial performance of partnerships and recommend corrective actions where needed
• Support post-acquisition integration and ensure financial alignment with group strategy
• Monitor competitor performance and support valuation modelling for potential acquisitions
• Develop and maintain a set of KPIs to track financial and operational performance
• Indirectly manage and mentor a Junior Analyst contributing to weekly reporting outputs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Qualified or part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with a strong commercial outlook
• Experience in commercial finance, management accounts, or business partnering
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to build robust business cases
• Confident communicator, able to influence and collaborate across functions
• Strong stakeholder management skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
• Good understanding of accounting principles, forecasting, and investment appraisal
