Job Description - Senior Commercial Officer

Senior Commercial Officer | Coventry | Defence | £55,000 Per Annum

Overview:
A leading defence and engineering organisation is seeking a Senior Commercial Officer to join their growing team. This role will involve full contract lifecycle management, supporting UK and export markets, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage commercial and contractual activities across major defence projects
Lead bid support, tender submissions, and contract negotiations
Draft and maintain distributor, reseller, and agent agreements
Ensure contractual obligations are appropriately flowed down to the supply chain
Provide commercial governance and compliance guidance across the business
Support due diligence, risk management, and process development

Required Experience:

Significant experience in a commercial, legal or contract management role
Proven background in complex contract negotiation and stakeholder management
Knowledge of defence or regulated sectors preferred
Familiarity with import/export regulations (desirable)
