Senior / Contracts Executive | Children’s Publishing | London | Full -Time or Part -Time

Our partner: Our partner is a very established and internationally focused publishing business specialising in illustrated children’s content. With a strong reputation in global markets, they combine commercial awareness with a passion for storytelling. The team environment encourages personal development, teamwork, and close working relationships across editorial, rights, and sales functions.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts, including co -edition, licensing, and international sales agreements.
- Prepare author and contributor agreements, as well as related addenda, supporting commissioning activity.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage contract workflows and ensure accuracy across documentation.
- Oversee contract renewals and reprint addenda in partnership with support colleagues.
- Assist with permissions, copyright matters, and monitoring potential infringements.
Experience and skills that will deliver success in this role: The right candidate will bring a strong foundation working with contracts, with the confidence to manage multiple agreements and stakeholders in a fast -paced environment. You’ll be detail -focused, commercially aware, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Essential:
- Experience within a contracts or rights function.
- Good understanding of copyright, contracts, and royalty structures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience in publishing, literary agency, or similar.
- Understanding of co -edition publishing and licensing agreements.
- Experience using publishing databases or systems.
- Confidence working across international markets and stakeholders.
The opportunity: This is a well -rounded role offering exposure to a wide range of publishing contracts in a supportive and collaborative environment. It’s particularly well suited to someone with strong contracts experience looking to move into publishing, or someone in publishing looking to deepen their expertise while maintaining flexibility (with the option to work either full -time or part -time).

- Salary: £35 -42k DOE
- Working pattern: Hybrid working from London office, with full -time or part -time options available.
