Senior Credit Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Analyst to join the credit division of a well-established international bank in London. This role focuses primarily on Project Finance, with exposure to broader structured finance transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in credit evaluation and monitoring, combined with a confident, independent view of risk in support of sound credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce in-depth credit evaluation reports covering financial and non-financial analysis, risk identification, mitigants, and recommendations.

• Maintain independent judgement when drafting and presenting credit opinions to Credit Committee.

• Monitor the credit portfolio, ensuring compliance with policies and early identification of deteriorating risk.

• Engage with Front Office to provide challenge, risk guidance and policy alignment on new transactions.

• Oversee post-lending activities including covenant monitoring, borrower performance reviews, and credit exposure tracking.

• Conduct annual and ad-hoc reviews for existing clients and industry sectors.

• Support the implementation of credit risk appetite frameworks, policies, and procedures.

• Provide professional risk advice to the Head of Credit Risk and management as required.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in credit risk, ideally within Project Finance or Structured Finance.

• Strong understanding of credit risks across various industries, jurisdictions, and deal structures.

• High-level financial analysis, modelling, and stress testing expertise.

• Confident communicator with excellent report-writing and presentation skills.

• Proven ability to work independently, challenge constructively, and support business objectives.

• Collaborative and professional approach, with strong stakeholder management skills.
