Job Opportunity: Senior Credit Controller

Location: Leicester

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

StartDate: ASAP

WorkArrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

Qualifications:

• Not Essential and open to candidates qualified by experience (QBE)
• At least 5 years of experience in credit control
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction industry

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage payment collections from private and public sector clients via phone and email.
• Ensure invoices are correctly sent and processes are followed, including distributing monthly statements and monitoring portals and inboxes.
• Address billing reconciliation queries, purchase order issues, portal problems, invoice uploads, and invoicing errors.
• Issue credits and correct billing errors to facilitate payments.
• Collaborate with project managers or job leads to ensure swift resolution and payment, documenting all interactions promptly.
• Maintain a database of job-level contacts and monitor credit limits for each client.
• Identify and escalate credit risks and concerns as necessary.
• Update payment promises and remittances daily, including cash forecasting.
