Senior Credit Controller

My client, a media business based near TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD, is seeking a SNR_Credit Controller join them whilst they begin their next exciting growth phase. This is an incredible time to join this amazing business who really value their staff.

The Senior Credit Controller is responsible for ensuring all aspects of cash collection are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. The nature of our business means this role offers exposure to complex transactions.

THE ROLE

• Liaise directly with clients throughout the month; resolving queries, confirming payment dates, chasing overdue invoices by telephone and/or email and ensuring remittance advices are received.
• Organise and attend regular client status meetings with all major agency groups.
• Hold weekly meetings with the Operations/Media Team to resolve invoice queries in a timely manner.
• Check and review that all payments received (cash/cheques/BACs) have been allocated within the month.
• Act as the main contact for all AR queries between internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and update monthly AR Cashflow Report
• Assist with the year-end audit process.
• Report day-to-day Credit Control workload to the Manager.
• Be the champion of great service internally and externally to promote a best in class approach.
• Develop own knowledge to link our numbers with commercial understanding.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Considerable relevant experience within a Credit Control role.
• Experience of resolving complex queries.
• Confident and experienced in liaising externally on monthly debt collection of circa £9m+.
• Experience of leading face-to-face meetings with clients
• Background in the Media/Marcomms industry desirable.
