Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Our client is a large-scale engineering organisation that is looking to onboard a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join their team.

This is a senior, lead-level position covering the full project delivery lifecycle, from initial bidding and design through to commissioning and ongoing support. The successful candidate will work closely with the client’s Rail project teams, providing cyber security engineering leadership throughout the delivery process.

* Up to £600 per day Outside IR35, depending on experience

* Weekly payments

* Hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home

* At least 12 months worth of work for this project

Responsibilties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

* Engaging with clients’ security teams to understand their wider security strategy and requirements

* Creating clear and effective Cyber Security Management Plans

* Planning and conducting Threat and Risk Assessments

* Evaluating third-party components against product and solution security requirements

* Verifying that security requirements have been correctly implemented

* Supporting the analysis and response to security vulnerabilities and incidents

* Providing security engineering leadership throughout the project lifecycle

* Working closely with project and engineering teams to ensure cyber security requirements are effectively delivered

What the client is looking for?

The client is looking for someone with:

* Proven experience providing security engineering leadership

* Experience mentoring and leading other engineers

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* Strong experience applying IEC 62443 standards

* Experience applying CENELEC standards

* The right to work in the UK

* A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive in the UK
