A leading energy company in the low-carbon sector is looking for a

Senior Data Architect .

Base Location:

Flexible, with a preference for key Scottish sites including Perth, Aberdeen, or Inverness. Edinburgh, Portsmouth and Reading are also possible.
Working Pattern:

Permanent | Full Time | Hybrid (1 day at the office per week)

What is the Role?
As a

Senior Data Architect , you'll be responsible for designing, creating, and managing Transmission IT's data architecture. Reporting to the Lead Data Architect, this role is critical in establishing a solid foundation for data analytics and data management, ensuring that data is organized, accessible, secure, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and manage data domain architecture to support business activities, understanding their wider implications and long-term impact.
Ensure project data designs align with the solution data architecture, managing and resolving any design issues.
Design the structure and layout of data systems and platforms, assessing the impact of business change requests on the existing data architecture.
Translate high-level business requirements into data models, test data, and data quality standards.
Collaborate with various departments to facilitate data-driven decision-making and optimize the organization's data ecosystem.

What Do I Need?
Proficiency in designing and implementing modern data architectures and concepts, particularly cloud services (Azure preferred).
Strong capability to manage and set standards for data exchange within large-scale environments.
Ability to analyze and interpret strategic plans, improving data integration and quality to support business initiatives.
Strategic thinking and the ability to relate architectural decisions to business needs, synthesizing and clearly communicating complex information to various stakeholders.
