Senior Data Engineer - Insurance

A fast-growing London Market Insurance firm is looking to hire Senior Data Engineer to join their Actuarial team. You will own and develop forward-thinking data pipelines and data models to elevate the Actuarial team and help answer the company's most difficult business challenges. You will work closely with the Data team as the company implements a new data architecture.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Advanced degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field or relevant industry experience.
* Expert programming and data manipulation skills using PySpark, SQL and Python
* Experience building multi-step ETL jobs/data pipelines and working with job orchestration systems.
* Experience in developing dimensional warehouse data models.
* Strong data visualisation skills and experience with Power BI is a bonus.
* Demonstrated ability to thrive with minimal oversight and process. You connect the dots across business needs and independently drive projects forward.
* Experience working with 3rd party APIs for data ingestion is a plus
