Senior Data Steward

Insight Investment is looking for a Senior Data Steward to join the Data Management team in London. As Senior Data Steward, you will ensure that data is understood, accurate and trusted. You will be responsible for specific data domains.

Role Responsibilities
Ensure that Core Data Services are compliant with data governance standards & policies
Monitor the effectiveness of Core Data Service levels e.g. data quality, timeliness, scope, user feedback
Report on key points for attention for management / Domain Owners via KPIs, metrics and other supporting information
Work with peers to ensure data domains have consistent service levels applied, interoperability between data domains and best practice is shared amongst data stewards and stakeholders
Support the introduction of new data management processes into Insight
Demonstrate the link between data management disciplines delivering valuable business outcomes for Insight
Identify issues and opportunities across the business in a timely manner
Document data requirements and service levels expected from data suppliers
Document and evidence service levels delivered to data consumers

*’Core Data Services’ are the curated data products that are made centrally available for consumption by many systems and users across Insight

Experience required
Excellent Data Management experience gained within asset management, asset servicing function or financial services
Demonstrate an understanding of a wide range of instrument types including derivatives
Understanding of investment management process and related operating models supporting data management
Familiarity with data architecture structures, lineage investigations and resolving data quality queries.
Excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills (both written and oral) required
Strong client relationship management/development skills
Excellent communication skills
Advanced excel spreadsheet skills required
Collibra or similar data governance tooling
Experience working with IT change projects e.g. defining business requirements with business analysts or creating user acceptance test plans
