THE COMPANY:

I'm working with a central data function in financial services that's building a high-performing platform team at the core of their data strategy. With technically advanced teams spread across the business, this group plays a crucial role in making data work better-for everyone.

THE ROLE:

This is a strategic and operational role for someone who loves automation, performance tuning, and platform thinking. As a Senior DataOps Engineer, you'll focus on improving the efficiency, observability, and cost-effectiveness of data pipelines running across a modern cloud stack.

• Take a "helicopter view" of the platform and monitor pipeline performance
• Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and optimise job run times
• Drive automation and reduce manual intervention across the platform
• Ensure pipelines are production-grade: scalable, monitored, and cost-efficient

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A successful Senior DataOps Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure
• Background in Data Engineering
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and resolving pipeline issues
• Experience automating workflows and improving data system reliability

THE BENEFITS:

You will receive a salary, dependent on experience. Salary is up to £60,000 On top of the salary there are some fantastic extra benefits.
