Senior Demand and Inventory Planning Supervisor

Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Bedfordshire based client to recruit for a Senior Demand and Inventory Planning Supervisor.

Primary responsibility of the role:

To manage both a team and the process of the Demand and Inventory planning forecast, ensuring uninterrupted supply to customers.

Day to day duties:

• Implement systems and procedures to ensure that demand plans are updated, and the integrity of the demand plan is maintained
• Working with key stakeholders to create accurate demand planning forecasts
• Providing key demand analysis
• Validating purchasing plans and progressing through to placement of orders
• Identifying potential stock shortages and taking corrective action
• Monitor supplier performance
• Management of a team of 3

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Educated to A level or equivalent
• At least 5 years demand planning experience with long lead time goods
• Strong analytical skills
• Team management experience
• Strong computer skills including Excel
• Experience using an ERP system
