This is an opportunity to work on genuinely innovative non-terrestrial communications technology, developing technology for 5G base stations designed to operate onboard satellites. The team is developing advanced baseband signal processing technology that will contribute to the next generation of mobile communications and help enable global connectivity. What you'll be doing: Developing complex RTL designs targeting both FPGA and ASIC Translating system and algorithm requirements into RTL micro-architectures Creating testbenches and validating designs on the latest FPGA platforms Optimising designs for timing, throughput, hardware resources and power Working across the full design lifecycle, from micro-architecture and RTL through to verification and physical implementation Collaborating closely with Algorithm, System Architecture and Verification engineers Producing high-quality design specifications and technical documentation What we're looking for: Expert-level Verilog / SystemVerilog Strong commercial FPGA and/or ASIC design experience Experience with synthesis and timing analysis Knowledge of high-throughput data or signal-processing designs Experience optimising timing and hardware resources Strong knowledge of industry-standard EDA simulation and synthesis tools Experience delivering complex, integrated digital designs Additional experience with 5G, communications/DSP algorithms, UVM, AMBA, SystemC/C++, PCIe, JESD, Python or AMD/Xilinx FPGA technology would be highly advantageous.
