A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, working across a strong pipeline of projects in Berkshire and the surrounding region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Design Manager who wants to be part of a major main contractor, working on substantial projects with genuine long-term career progression.

The Opportunity

You will take a senior role within the design function, working closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are successfully delivered from pre-construction through to completion.

The role will involve:

* Leading and managing the design process across major construction projects

* Managing design teams, consultants and subcontractors

* Overseeing design development and coordinating design packages

* Working closely with the commercial and project delivery teams

* Managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

* Ensuring design programmes and deliverables are achieved

* Supporting the wider regional business across its growing pipeline of work

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with Senior Design Managers who have:

* Strong main contractor experience

* Proven experience managing design on major construction projects

* Experience leading design teams and external consultants

* Strong technical understanding of the construction process

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

* The ability to take ownership and drive the design function forward
