Senior Design Technician

Our client
We delighted to be working with a highly successful manufacturer of structural building products based in County Durham. They are recruiting a Senior Design Technician to join their Technical team. 

The opportunity
Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities include: 

• Create detailed drawings in Tekla Structures software.
• Lead troubleshooting of technical issues between engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Develop and refine standardised workflows and templates.
• Mentor Technicians within the team.
• Conduct final QA checks on drawings and models before release to manufacturing.
• Oversee fabrication feasibility, ensuring efficient production processes. 
• Provide feedback to engineers and designers on design improvements for manufacturability.

About you
As an experienced Technician you will be confident in structural detailing, draughting and manufacturing coordination.
It is essential that you are proficient in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and detailing standards.
You will also require knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, and Eurocode compliance.
Experience of mentoring and training team members would be an advantage.
