We’ve partnered with an innovative global leader in cleaning and hygiene solutions for the retail, professional, and veterinary healthcare sectors and they’re looking for a Senior Product Development Chemist who not only brings technical expertise but also a genuine desire to contribute to the growth and success of their business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of new cleaning and hygiene products, from concept through to production launch, ensuring performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
• Inspire and manage a small team of chemists and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Regulatory, Quality, and Commercial teams to align product development with market needs and business goals.
• Identify and evaluate new raw materials, with a focus on sustainability, performance enhancement, and cost optimisation.
• Support scale-up and manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth transition from lab to production.
• Handling product claims and USPs, ensuring all technical substantiations are robust, credible, and aligned with brand messaging.

Key Requirements

• A BSc or MSc in Chemistry or a closely related scientific discipline.
• A minimum of 4-5 years’ industry experience in product formulation and development, ideally within the cleaning or hygiene sector.
• Strong understanding of scientific and technical data.
• High level of attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach.
