Job Description - Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer – Remote (AWS, CloudFormation, Terraform, ECS)
£60,000-£80,000
Our client is a fast-growing software company that, similarly to us at Socially Responsible Recruitment, puts people over profit. Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and manage infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible with Jinja2 templates.
Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications with ECS, with exposure to Kubernetes a plus.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
Collaborate with development teams to automate deployments and monitor environments.
Ensure security, performance, and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to system performance tuning, incident response, and ongoing platform reliability.
Participate in code reviews and maintain clear, concise documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in a DevOps role, primarily in AWS environments.
Expertise with IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
Strong containerization experience with Docker and ECS.
Familiarity with Python and/or Go; knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript is a plus.
Proficient with Git workflows and version control.
Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, and logging in cloud-based systems.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote team setting.

Desirable

Experience with MongoDB in production environments.
Familiarity with distributed systems and infrastructure scaling best practices.
