Senior Director, Marketing

Harbinger Health is leading a transformation in cancer detection, introducing fundamentally new approaches to resolving cancer-related uncertainty across multiple clinical contexts. The company combines advances in artificial intelligence with proprietary insights into the biology of the origins of cancer to enable fit-for-purpose strategies grounded in shared biology and a common platform – all through a low-cost blood test. Harbinger is advancing multiple tests in its RESOLVE™ portfolio designed to help bring clarity more efficiently to clinicians when cancer is suspected. Harbinger was founded by Flagship Pioneering after three years of foundational research in its Labs unit and launched in 2020.

Position Summary

As Senior Director, Marketing at Harbinger Health, you will lead marketing strategy and execution for Harbinger’s first RESOLVE™ product as the company prepares for commercialization. You will translate customer insights and commercial priorities into positioning, launch plans, and programs that drive demand, support clinician adoption, and create a trusted patient experience. This hands-on role requires a strategic marketer who can lead complex initiatives from strategy through execution in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of the marketing strategy for Harbinger’s lead RESOLVE™ product, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, channel strategy, customer journeys, and launch readiness.


• Lead development of the RESOLVE™ brand, messaging, and core launch assets, clearly communicating the test’s intended use, clinical value, evidence, limitations, and role in the diagnostic workup.


• Support Harbinger’s corporate brand and external presence across corporate and product websites, conferences, social media, and communications initiatives.


• Lead provider marketing across priority specialties and practice settings, including education, digital engagement, sales and field tools, and adoption initiatives.

• Build and execute the patient marketing strategy for a self-pay offering, including education, demand generation, conversion, and the end-to-end patient experience.


• Develop marketing strategies, value propositions, and materials for additional priority customers and channels, including health systems and strategic partners.


• Partner with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and Legal to ensure marketing programs and external communications are strategically aligned, scientifically accurate, evidence-based, and compliant.


• Manage assigned budgets, agency partners, and performance metrics; measure results and continually optimize programs and investments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in diagnostics or another regulated healthcare field.


• Demonstrated success launching or commercializing a novel healthcare product.


• Experience marketing to healthcare providers and translating complex science into clear, compelling, and compliant communications.


• Expertise in customer insights, segmentation, positioning, messaging, integrated campaigns, and performance measurement.


• Strong cross-functional leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to build in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business, marketing, science, public health, or a related field.


• Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, genomics, or another emerging diagnostic category.


• Experience helping build or scale a marketing capability, managing external agencies, and supporting patient-facing or self-pay commercialization.

The salary range for this role is $247,000 - $320,000. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
