Senior Drainage Engineer

My client, a large, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts in the beautiful city of Nottingham, in the Midlands region of England.

Essential Criteria:

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a similar, relevant discipline
• Demonstrable experience in drainage design, particularly within the infrastructure or development sectors
• Excellent knowledge of UK engineering standards relating to drainage and highways, including the relevant Section Agreements
• Experience of working with Section Agreements S104 and S106, as well as the interpretation and discharge of planning conditions
• Good working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including MicroDrainage, Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and similar
• Experience of stakeholder engagement and management, with a range of clients
• Ability to manage projects at all stages, from conception through to successful delivery

In your exciting role of Senior Drainage Engineer, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective engineering and design fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Oversee the design and management of drainage systems for a range of new build and redevelopment projects
• Produce conceptual drainage and infrastructure designs, from initial conception through the construction process
• Work with other colleagues and stakeholders to produce integrated design solutions
• Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, providing them with technical guidance and support
• Lead the preparation of drawings, design reports, and technical memorandums
• Assist with the preparation of planning applications, coordinating with local authorities and other clients in their submission
• Mentor junior engineers and other colleagues
• Provide business development support, contributing to the preparation of business proposals, etc.
