Senior Drainage Engineer

My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their experienced team of engineering consultants, based near the modern, up-and-coming town of Telford.

Essential Criteria:

• A Degree in Hydrology, Geology, or a related geoscience field
• Extensive commercial experience within the industry
• Professional body accreditation (or actively working to attain this)
• Evidence of having won proposals and projects
• Demonstrable experience of producing and reviewing technical reports
• Experience of managing projects and teams, delivering a broad range of projects
• Possess a valid UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel to sites as and when required

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer to possess the following:

• Hold a postgraduate qualification in geosciences (or similar, relevant discipline)
• A forward-thinking mindset, with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable across a range of projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of managing a range of stakeholder relations

In the varied role of Senior Drainage Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of specialists in the field, with a view to developing your career as you progress through your career. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:

• Lead business development strategies, overseeing the site acquisition, developing flood mitigation strategies, and supporting planning applications
• Provide technical leadership, delivering projects to the highest of standards
• Oversee authorship of Flood Risk Assessments and flood investigation reports
• Support the development of Sustainable Drainage Strategies (SuDS), ensuring reports are written to the highest of standards
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants
• Work with the team to develop and implement sustainable solutions
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
