Job Title: EC&I Design Engineer - Senior Level

Location: St Helens (Hybrid working available)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced EC&I Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? We're seeking a highly skilled professional to join a dynamic engineering team working on cutting-edge EPC projects across multiple sectors including nuclear, oil & gas, pharmaceuticals and renewables.

As a Senior EC&I Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality electrical control and instrumentation designs for control panels and related systems. You'll act as a technical authority, supporting project delivery from concept through to manufacturing and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead EC&I design activities for electrical control panels and systems.
• Translate customer requirements into robust engineering solutions.
• Manage design projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and quality assurance.
• Support construction and manufacturing stages, including change control.
• Provide technical guidance and client-facing support throughout project lifecycle.

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in regulated industries (nuclear, defence, oil & gas, power).
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering design.
• Skilled in AutoCAD, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, and AMTECH.
• Experience in LV switchgear, motor control centres, automation systems, and variable drive systems.
