We're partnering with a world-leading automotive and motorsport simulation company looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge simulator technology used by some of the world's leading automotive manufacturers and motorsport organisations. You'll be responsible for the design, development, testing and delivery of electrical systems that form part of advanced simulator platforms, whilst providing technical guidance and support to engineers across the business.
What you'll be doing: Lead the electrical design of simulator subsystems including cabins, access systems and motion platforms. Take ownership of electrical engineering projects from concept through to delivery. Develop electrical block diagrams and engineering drawings using CAD software. Produce specifications, bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation. Support testing, validation and commissioning activities. Work closely with suppliers, purchasing teams and internal stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers within the team. Support design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Travel occasionally within the UK and internationally to support customer installations and commissioning activities.What we're looking for: We're looking for an experienced electrical engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion. You'll ideally have:
Experience in a Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Engineering role or similar A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience. At least 5 years' experience within an engineering environment. Experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects. Ideally experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of automotive, motorsport, automation or related engineering sectors.Desirable experience:
AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical. High Voltage (HV) systems. Automated or direct-drive systems. Electrical testing, commissioning and validation. Systems integration. Manufacturing, assembly or maintenance environments.
