Job Description - Senior Electrical Engineer

Role: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: London
Permanent, Full-time working hours
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Sector: Building Services - M&E Consultancy

Parkside Recruitment is working with a well-established and forward-thinking building services consultancy who are currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their London office.

The Role:
You’ll be leading electrical design projects from initial survey and feasibility through to specification, site supervision, and final delivery. Working closely with project leadership, you will ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient building services solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver detailed electrical design and oversee project implementation
Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and reports
Conduct site visits and supervise contractor performance
Ensure adherence to industry regulations and H&S standards
Mentor junior engineers and support internal training
Attend client meetings and contribute to business development
Assist in fee proposals and project budgeting

About You:

Proven experience in electrical building services design
Strong understanding of UK regulations and technical standards
Proficient in AutoCAD and design software
Effective communicator with good client-facing skills
Experience mentoring or managing others is advantageous
