About the Role

A specilaist building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join its growing team of building services professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for an established electrical engineer to lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across a range of sectors, ensuring high-quality, efficient and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept through to completion.

*

Produce electrical design calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.

*

Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm and containment systems.

*

Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards, Building Regulations and industry legislation.

*

Manage project deliverables, budgets and deadlines.

*

Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other building services disciplines.

*

Attend design meetings, site visits and inspections as required.

*

Review and check designs produced by junior engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.

*

Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, sustainability and overall design performance.

Requirements

*

Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

*

Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.

*

Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards, regulations and industry guidance.

*

Experience producing electrical calculations, technical specifications and design drawings.

*

Proficiency in relevant design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and electrical calculation packages.

*

Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently as well as part of a team.
