Senior Electrical Estimator

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position which can be based out of their Dublin office with flexible remote working options available.

Role Objective:

The Senior Electrical Estimator is responsible for the preparation, submission, and management of HV/MV tenders allocated. The main objective of this role is to achieve accurate net costs in accordance with the tender documents.

What you will be doing?

• Accurately quantify material, plant, and labour requirements.
• Prepare estimates utilising in house estimating software system.
• Compile and issue tender queries.
• Undertake comparison of subcontractor, supplier, and specialist quotations.
• Attend site surveys as required.
• Contribute to tender risk and opportunity registers.
• Preparation of tender documentation for submission.
• Attend pre contract / post tender meetings.
• Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.

Is this the job for me?

• The successful candidate will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Electrical Sector and have a clear knowledge of the requirements.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in an Estimator role or relevant trade qualification and background.
• Experience in the MV/HV sector advantageous
• The ability to read, interpret and understand specifications and drawings.
• Experience of computerised estimating software.
• The ability to think ahead, plan and prioritise workload.
• The ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• PC Skills: Computer literacy including MS Office.
