Salary: Starting Salary is £36,363 (Level one) rising to £39,152 per annum (pro rata for part-time) (Pay award pending)

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Nottingham City Council's carbon reduction ambitions while helping to deliver sustainable energy solutions that reduce energy costs and carbon emissions across the city. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Energy Projects Officer to support the management, performance and growth of Nottingham City Council's extensive renewable energy portfolio. You will help optimise renewable energy generation, maximise revenues, and support the delivery of new projects and portfolio expansion opportunities. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, residents and external stakeholders to ensure the effective operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Council's assets.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

•          A degree in science, energy systems, energy/building management, business, or a related discipline


•          Experience analysing and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions and support performance improvement.


•          Experience supporting contract management and overseeing the delivery of services through external contractors.


•          A sound knowledge of renewable energy technologies, with the ability to provide technical advice and support for the Council's solar energy portfolio. 


•          The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, managing competing priorities while delivering day-to-day responsibilities effectively.


•          Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to the successful delivery of energy and  sustainability projects.

-          A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

-          A current valid driving licence
