Days only Monday to Friday (Flexible hours, 40 hour week)

£45,000

Location: Measham

We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Engineer (Multi Skilled) to join a successful large manufacturer, bringing a strong, old-school work ethic and a passion for developing the next generation of engineers. In this role, you'll play a key part in mentoring apprentices and junior engineers, providing guidance in both practical and theoretical aspects of their training. The role will also include getting involved in planned and reactive maintenance tasks across the site, supporting the team were necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively mentor and coach apprentices and junior engineers, supporting their development and progress.
• Provide hands-on support with both practical tasks and theoretical understanding.
• Assist with engineering breakdowns and reactive maintenance when required.
• Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, leading by example with a can-do, practical approach.
• Work a day shift pattern, with very occasional cover for other shifts when necessary.

Requirements for the Senior Engineer:

• Proven experience in an engineering environment, with strong technical knowledge.
• Multi Skilled - Electrical bias up to 70/30 or mechanical bias up to 60/40
• A natural mentor who enjoys coaching and sharing knowledge.
• Old-school attitude: reliable, hardworking, and no-nonsense.
• Comfortable jumping in to help when things go wrong.
• Approachable, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
